Alexandria faculty of medicine has always been a beacon of medical education. We have a professional commitment to teach our students using the best evidence-based educational strategies in the field of medical education. We offer an undergraduate medical program built on clinical and professional competencies, which qualifies the
graduates to provide a distinguished medical service and to improve the healthcare system in their countries.
We aim to graduate physicians who will be able to provide a safe and
quality medical care to their communities. In addition to the continuous development of the educational environment, attention is also paid to the social and cultural communication between the students from different nationalities.
As we believe, this could support the personal development of learners
our faculty staff are committed to provide an educational, cultural and
social environment that embraces students throughout their studies.
We are proud of what our graduate have achieved in their professional lives. They are our ambassadors in the health care systems of their countries. We welcome Arab and African students as well as other nationalities
to the land of Alexandria with the Arabic and African cultures meet in
one of the oldest schools in the medical history.

I would like to congratulate you on your well-deserved joining our big family “Faculty of Medicine” and I am sure that I will be proud of your successful moments along the time spent in the faculty, knowing that it takes too much effort ,studying and stress but finally success, and you know that no gain without pain. Let the sky to be the new limit in your work as physicians and your graduation will be the starting point to achieve your dreams.
Finally, I want to remind you to never stop learning and never forget medicine is an art practiced by doctors. We bring to the people not only technology and training but also our humanity and caring.

About the Program

The vision of the International Medical Program is to:
 Offering educational services to the undergraduate student using state of the
art curricula adopted in modern universities making use of the most up to date
scientific references.
 Strengthening scientific and cultural ties between our university and other
Arab, African and Foreign international universities.
 Promote professional development, innovation and excellence in education.
 Promote a worldwide free exchange of ideas regarding educational theory and
methods.
 Graduate internationally accredited health care providers.

The mission of the International Medical Program is to:
1. Provide the community with highly qualified physicians:
o Who are excellent health care providers, demonstrating appropriate
professional behavior according to international and national
standards.
o Who can efficiently cope with the rapid changes in medical practice
and research in the 21st century.

2. Develop in them the enthusiasm to become lifelong learners.
3. Prepare the students to be competent and caring doctors according to
international standards.

The objectives of international program is to:
1. Provide the students with up - to - date knowledge, information and necessary
skills that professional distinction requires.
2. Prepare students for the transition from medical student to doctor successfully.
3. Prepare students to learn and train effectively throughout a post graduate
career.
4. Educate students to always relate academic study to patient care, emphasizing
the importance of doctor - patient relationship.
5. Stress the ethical concepts and humanitarian involved in his future medical
career.
6. Promote the cooperation between medical students and health care
professionals.
7. Allow the students to fully participate in feedback and evaluation processes.
8. Facilitate the student-learning process through guiding the students to
different information resources and helping them in problem solving based on
comprehensive guidance from a wide range of clinical cases in multiple
clinical setting
9. Improving the educational level of enrolled students by establishing a specific
criteria for their selection (criteria of selection)
10. Improving the educational level of the enrolled post graduate students who are
English/French speakers by diversifying the teaching techniques through
theoretical, practical and clinical methods

Rules & regulations

General Appearance

Students are required to dress up decently for the faculty premises, regular
trousers shirts or t-shirt are allowed as are suits and jumpers But No Cutting
Pants Neither Sweat pants or Shorts,

 Foot wear is allowed in the form of
shoes and sneakers but No Slippers are allowed .For lady students regular
decent attire is accepted and encouraged. No untraditional (freaky) clothes
are allowed.
For male students, hair should be regularly cut, clean and well groomed.

General Behavior

Students should strictly follow regulations concerning GATES of entrance and
cleanliness of classrooms, students should adopt a decent attitude keeping
their voices low as not to disturb others or breach the serenity of the faculty
atmosphere

Smoking

No Smoking is allowed anywhere in the campus including classroom, water
closets and corridors

Respecting Property

Students should respect ALL FACULTY FACILITIES including chairs, desk, walls,
practical class equipment, WC material property….ect.

Failure to abide by these rules subjects the students to penalties of different
types including:

-A letter of reprimand
-Notation on the student’s official transcript
-Reducing marks
-Withholding of results
-A defined period of suspension, with or without the attachment of
conditions
-paying fines in case of damaging public property
-Declaring the student’s name in a board of disgrace
