The Department of Clinical Pathology occupies the second floor of the Academic
Building. It is considered the backbone of the main university hospital serving
Northwest Delta and they are; Alexandria, Marsa Matrouh and Beheira
governorates. The department also conducts many postgraduate scientific
research for master’s and doctoral researchers. In addition to the laboratory of
the Shatby Children Hospital, the laboratory of Hadera Hospital ,the laboratory
of the New Education Hospital, the laboratory of Smouha Hospital, the laboratory
of Moussa Hospital and the laboratory of Borg El Arab oncology hospital.

Objectives of the Department of Clinical and Chemical Pathology

1- In the field of students and teaching: – Developing the educational process in line with international standards for educational institutions – Improving the educational service provided – Field training – Activating modern educational strategies and developing new study programmes – Creating an appropriate and stimulating educational environment for students.
2-In the field of scientific research: – Modernizing the infrastructure for scientific research – Development in research techniques – Creating an environment conducive to excellence in research fields and stimulating scientific publishing
3-In the field of community services: – Interacting with the medical problems and needs of the community – Supporting research and educational activities to contribute to the areas of community service and environmental development
